Anna Floyd

Anna Floyd’s love of learning developed through 12 years of homeschooling and accelerated college.  Her love for God developed through five years of Bible Bee, where she also happens to be a three-time national finalist.  Equipped with a B.A. in History from TESU and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Liberty University, she views history as a tool for building confidence in God’s sovereignty and goodness.

Anna taught for three years at Lehigh Valley Christian High School and continues at FCHS teaching History and Comparative Worldviews.  She also serves as yearbook advisor, guidance counselor, and learning support tutor.

Some of Anna’s favorite moments include rousing philosophical discussions with the Seniors, sharing her passion for the United States Constitution, and coaching students to earn inexpensive college credit for courses they are already taking in high school.  She is a member of Calvary Baptist Church, which she has attended for 19 years.

We will … tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. ~ Psalm 78:4

Alex Sackey

Alex Sackey has been teaching and coaching in Christian education since 1995. His love for sports grew along with his faith in Christ, and he has a strong sense of teamwork inspired by God’s calling him to faith at age 18. Alex graduated from United Wesleyan College in 1989 and went on to work for Youth for Christ as a Ministry coordinator. He oversaw Campus Life high school ministries in the valley.

Before working for Fellowship Christian, Alex was a part of the teaching team at Lehigh Valley Christian High School for 25 years as athletic director, teacher, coach, and most recently as a Principal, in which he helped create a teamwork-minded teaching environment.

Alex and his lovely wife, Kathy, are the proud parents of two young adults, and long-time residents of Allentown. They are members at CrossPoint Church in Bethlehem, which they have attended for over 25 years.

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there

be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting! ~ Psalm 139:23-24

Henry Crush

After 12 years of Christian education at Phil-Mont Christian Academy, Henry Crush graduated and went on to get his certification in secondary math from Bloomsburg University after spending his first two years at Pinebrook Junior College. It was at PJC that he met his wife Debbie. After marrying in 1976, they have grown and served together in various ways outside of education. Since then, they have been blessed with six children and fourteen grandchildren.

Henry’s first teaching ministry was at Lehigh Christian Academy. After over 40 years there, teaching at Lehigh Valley Christian High School, and a short stint as an adjunct professor at PJC, he now has joined the team at FCHS teaching mathematics, Bible and American Sign Language.

In his copious free time, Henry enjoys time at home with his wife and his two youngest children, gardening (in season), teaching Adult Sunday School at Faith Evangelical Free Church, and helping with his elderly hearing-impaired parents who live nearby.

What then can we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

~ Romans 8:31

Karen Brown

Growing up in the countryside, Karen Brown developed a love for nature. Her attention to detail served her well both in her love of science and English. In her Genetic Engineering studies at Cedar Crest College she learned that the deeper you go into the intricacies of life, the more design you see (and design implies a Designer).

Karen developed her knowledge of teaching through Veritas Teacher Training while  homeschooling her own son through 9th grade, and went on to teach at a homeschool co-operative learning group. She never met a subject she didn’t like! She began with the Science department at Lehigh Valley Christian High School in 2012 (yes, she still has the classroom snake, Fireball), eventually adding English as well. She helps students learn language through classical literature.

She and her husband, Pastor David Brown, are life-long evangelical Lutherans serving Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
